Naruto Shippuden Opening for Season 8
To me, the opening of season 8 in Naruto Shippuden was one of my favorite openings for any show ever. Here is my analysis of it. It begins with Naruto falling into the ocean. As he descends deeper into the water with a blank expression on his face and his headband in his hand, his surroundings grow darker, and what looks like blades begin to appear from below. Between these blades, in the members of the Akatsuki are hiding murky darkness. At this point in the series, much of the focus was on Naruto trying to bring his friend Sasuke back home, who had left the village and become evil. The Akatsuki is also largely responsible for Sasuke going down this path. This part symbolizes the hopelessness that Naruto felt during this part of the series, and the blades and Akatsuki members hidden in the background represent the major obstacles and causative factors for Naruto's hopelessness. The next part shows Sasuke face to face and floating above Naruto. After a brief pause, he stabs Nar...
